Day: Monday Date: May 16, 2016 Parshat: Emor Yalkut Yosef: O"H: 208
As mentioned previously, (Feb. 26, 2016) the beracha on a flour based food which contains less flour than other ingredients is still mezonot. If the mixture nevertheless contains enough flour for one to consume a kezayit of flour within seven and a half minutes and he indeed ate that much, al hamihya is said afterward. If there was not enough flour in the mixture to eat a kezayit within seven and a half minutes, no after beracha is said. The same is true if the mixture contains millet or bean flour mixed with flour of one or more of the five grains, and there is not enough of the grain flour to have a kezayit in seven and a half minutes, no after beracha is said. It is best to eat such a food during a meal so the birkat hamazon will cover that as well.
