One Who Has Shehakol and Ha'etz Foods Day: Thursday Date: June 16, 2016 Parshat: Naso Yalkut Yosef: O"H: 211 In memory of Hannah bat Shelomo. Foods with the berachot of ha'etz and ha'adamah both precede foods on which shehakol is said. Since ha'etz and ha'adamah are each specific to a limited type of food and shehakol is a generic beracha that can cover most anything, the others are said first. However, even if one said shehakol first, he still needs to say the other berachot on the other foods he plans on eating. Even though as mentioned above, shehakol can cover any food, that is only the case when one specifically has in mind to cover other foods.
