Day: Wednesday Date: June 1, 2016 Parshat: Behukotai Yalkut Yosef: O"H: 209
In memory of Hannah bat Shelomo.
One who is about to have a drink and incorrectly intends to say hagefen but after starting the beracha and saying HaShem's name realized his error and ended off correctly, does not say a new beracha even though at the time he said HaShem's name he had the wrong beracha in mind. The same is true about any beracha on food, if a person started off intending to say the wrong beracha and ended off with correct one, or intended to say the correct one and ended off with the wrong one, he does not say a new beracha. In a situation where he ended off with the wrong beracha and remembered right away he should correct himself by saying the correct ending to the beracha.
