The beracha before smelling myrtle, jasmin, citrus flowers, roses, and cinnamon is boreh atzei besamim since they all grow on trees or bushes with hard branches. The correct beracha before smelling basil is also boreh atzei besamim even though very often the branches do not last long enough to become stiff.
